My name is Maxine Goings and I love what I do in Real Estate! For the last 20 years I have been in and around the military. I decided to make Columbia, South Carolina my home. I’ve been deployed to Iraq and fought and won a fight with breast cancer. I am a survivor in more ways than one! I have a husband and two children. I’m also an avid dog lover. Life is short and I believe in enjoying every minute of it. After finishing my degree in Business Management, I decided to go back to my first love….and that’s educating and helping people reach their real estate goals. It is my joy to see that all involved experience a win-win situation. I service Fort Jackson, Columbia, Blythewood, and Elgin in South Carolina. My specialties are military relocation, first time home buyers, move-ups or move downs, investments, and foreclosures. Please visit www.thepinkrealestatelady.com. It is my pleasure to work with you!

I first endeavored into this industry in 2006 as a Property Manager for two years. For the past 12 years, I've worked my way through our industry, learning all of the ins and outs, and gaining the skill set needed to ensure my clients always get the best delegation in the process of buying, selling, and investing.
I can sit here and tell you I have strong negotiating skills, local market knowledge, and so forth – and of course, I do – but one thing I want to share with you, the thing that is the most important tool I can provide you in your home sale or purchase is my passion. I didn't get into the industry to make money. I got into the industry because I fell in love with it. I fell in love with homes, the character each one had, and the beautiful people I got to help transition from one to another. I fell in love with hearing people's stories, really getting to know their needs for their futures, and focusing on ensuring you found a home that actually met those future goals. Real estate can be a stressful thing, moving out of a home you've known for years can be hard, and it can be harder if you don't have someone to partner with who doesn't take the time to understand that.
My business goes beyond the professionalism I can bring to the table, my years of knowledge about our local market and communities, and past the number of sales I've made thus far. Instead, it prioritizes you. How much can you afford? What motivates your move? What do you HAVE to have to make this big transition in your life? You need a real estate agent who understands that and seeks to know the answer to those questions and all of the other important ones that make buying and selling a reality for you. Let's grab coffee or lunch, on me, and we'll talk about your real estate goals. I'll get to know your needs, I'll share the amazing experience I can provide, and we'll make sure your next move is in the right direction. You don't need a computer to find your dream house, you need a professional partner who has your best interest at heart from the moment you call to even after we close. I'm doing more than just selling houses in Columbia, SC, and the surrounding areas; I'm helping you bring your dream home to life.
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 2000, I have worked in the healthcare field as an administrative assistance. I was a single mother providing for myself and two beautiful little girls. One thing I will never forget is the overwhelming feeling I felt trying to keep up with the high cost of living.
In 2009, my mother passed away, and by way of the courts’ I was appointed to serve as administrator of her estate. This was my first introduction into real estate, managing the assets and liabilities of my mother’s estate. I also met my husband that year and by 2010, I had given birth to an adorable baby boy.
In 2015, I took a bold step! With my husband working in the food industry, I left my stressful job in healthcare and cashed out my 401k, which was about $40,000 at the time to use as a down payment to purchase some income producing property, that was in distress. I was able to put 10% of the value of the property down and I used the rest to fix the property up.
Today, I own six units and as a landlord, I have been very passionate about the needs of others. I pride myself on bringing peace of mind to families struggle especially single parents with the ever-changing market. I am providing my tenants with peace, comfort, and with affordable housing.
Since vacationing to South Carolina, for the past few years, I am proud to say that not only am I a South Carolina Realtor, I also live here, and my passion is to help people with their needs and goals. I enjoy building relationships and networking at community events. Being a real estate agent to me is more than just renting, buying and selling houses, it is the humbleness to know that I have an active role in changing lives, building trust and helping people find a better quality of life, is as important to me as it is to them.
If you are looking to purchase, or sell a property please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at 857-236-5806. Or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
